Occupation overview

The trade worker is the face of every shop floor.

From preparing the sales floor at opening to closing the till at the end of the day — the trade worker handles every aspect of retail commerce, customer service, stock management and supplier relations.

  • Point of sale. Prepares and maintains the point of sale: cleaning, equipment setup, aesthetic presentation and promotional displays.
  • Sales & service. Sells products and services: advises customers, processes sales, handles returns, manages complaints and loyalty programmes.
  • Stock & orders. Monitors inventory levels, processes purchase orders, performs stocktaking and maintains documentation.
  • Supplier & customer relations. Negotiates, resolves disputes, ensures quality standards and provides after-sales service.
Special requirement. A medical fitness certificate from a family doctor is required for enrolment, in keeping with sanitary regulations for retail roles handling consumer goods.
The syllabus

Six modules. Every shift,
start to finish.

Training combines classroom instruction in retail law and accounting with supervised practice in our Bucharest sales-floor atelier — equipped as a working store with point-of-sale terminals, stockroom and back-office systems.

The Schola sales-floor atelier is fitted as a working store — point-of-sale terminals, stockroom, back-office systems and a mock customer-service desk. Every module is taught with the same tools and software you will encounter in retail employment.
